Homeland Museum Library
A quiet room for books, research and natural light.
01 · About the Project
The museum library is designed around the people who use it most: the librarian who cares for the collection and the researchers who study it. A glass partition divides the room into a library and a reading room while keeping it visually whole. It is fully reversible, so the palace's original spatial concept remains untouched. Shelving is planned for efficient, orderly storage, and individual reading desks sit beneath the window niches to make the most of daylight for calm, focused work.
For private libraries in historic homes, it demonstrates how careful, reversible intervention can bring contemporary comfort into a heritage interior without leaving a scar on it.
